About

I am a painter and poet who lives in the Seattle area. My paintings are inspired by nature and all its many colors and textures. A new leaf, the brightness of an orange poppy, a large flowering tree, all of it feels slightly impossible and completely original.

I began painting in late 2019 around the same I completed my first book of poems. My education is in poetry and I spent seven years prior learning that craft. I needed some time to focus on something unrelated to language and quickly fell in love with how easily people connected to my paintings. Plus, the complexities of learning a new skill outside of academia felt freeing.

I work mostly with a small palette knife to enhance texture and display an impressionistic style, but I enjoy all styles and mediums.

If you’re interested in reading my new chapbook, Nightbird, I’ve put it together for you to buy here, as well. I’d love for you to check it out!!
